The cow is pregnant!

I just got an update from Rose and she says the cow we helped them purchase is pregnant and already giving 2 liters of milk a day! This is so exciting, we just have no idea how wonderful it is for the children to have fresh milk every day, even if it is just a cup.

Rose also tells us that the plants are growing very well and most have been transplanted to the big garden. Now a whole new batch of seedlings have been started. They are actually eating some of the greens that we helped them plant while we were there in December. It is so exciting to see all the progress.

I am sponsoring a boy named Toba and he was the “farmer” of the bunch so I mailed him some watermelon seeds a month ago and they have sprouted and will soon be ready for the garden as well. Rose says they love watermelon and can’t wait to see if it will grow well in their soil.

The next team will be going to work at the center in July. Please pray for them as they are raising their money and gathering the supplies to go again.
